Jaswant Thada is actually a royal cenotaph built by Maharaja Sardar Singh in commemoration of his father Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. It was built in the year 1899. The tomb houses two more cenotaphs.

Jaswant Thada has been built from thin and polished sheet of marbles. It is an exquisite piece of architecture which is evident from the fact that the monument emits a glow when sun rays fall on its outer periphery.
