Ila Arun needs no introduction as many people all over India have heard this husky voiced folk/pop singer from Rajasthan. She has also acted in many movies but is well known for her penchant for Rajasthani folk music and fusion with mainstream pop music.
Early life and education of Ila Arun
Ila Arun was born and brought up in the city of Jaipur, Rajasthan. She has done her graduation from Maharani college Jaipur.
Career and achievements of Ila Arun
Ila Arun had a successful career as a pop singer in Indian entertainment scene nad has many singles in her name. She was noticed for her song 'Choli ke peeche' which was an instant hit all over the country and grabbed attention from music lovers all over India. She also appeared in movies and reality shows as a judge. Her single album 'Vote for Ghagra' was a blockbuster in India and some songs like 'Bichuda' strucl the chords with the audience. The album also included many foot tapping songs like- Morni, Main ho gayi sawa lakh ki, Mera Assi Kali ka Ghagra, Darudi, Main Raatan Jagi etc.
Recently she sang the theme song for Rajasthan Royals- 'Halla Bol' which was also an instant hit.
Illa Arun has acted in many movies as well as television shows. She had a role in the widely acclaimed serial- 'Bharat ek khoj'. She acted in many movies such as-Jodha Akbar, China Gate, Chingari, Well Done Abba and Welcome to Sajjanpur. Recently she has acted in 'West is west' which is a comedy drama about a father trying to take his son back to Pakistan. The film was released in 2010 and Ila Arun has the role of his wife. Ila arun
