As per the provisional results of the Census 2011, Rajasthan has recorded eighth highest population growth in India.
Rajasthan, one of the states which are recognized as EAG (Empowered Action Group) states, has recorded significant fall in decadal population growth rate. Now in 2011, it is 21.44% and during 1991-2001 the growth rate was 28.33%.
