How to obtain Driving License in Rajasthan

In order to drive any vehicle a person must possess a valid driving license issued by the transport authority of the area he belongs to. No person as per the Indian law can drive a motor vehicle or a transport vehicle in any public place without license.

Age Limit for obtaining Driving License
The person who wishes to apply for the driving license must be of 18 years for a motor vehicle. However the age limit is 20 years for driving a transport vehicle in any public place.

How to apply for Learner's Driving License in Rajasthan– Online Forms

Now you don't have to go to the office for getting the forms and then filling it. Now you can fill the form online at your own convenience for applying for Learner's Driving license. Online Forms are now available for applying for Learner's Driving License from the official website

You just need to download form 2 for Learner's license. Fill the form as per the instructions and attach the following documents along with the application.

Medical Certificate in Form No. 1-A or declaration in Form 1, as the case may be

Three copies of the applicant's, recent Passport size Photograph

Fee of Rs. 30/- for each class of vehicle

In the case of application for medium goods vehicle, a medium passenger motor vehicle, a heavy goods vehicle, or a heavy passenger vehicle, the driving licence for Light Motor Vehicle held by the applicant.

It is important to note that you must be present at the time submission of the application form for Learner's License before the licensing authority for preliminary test

Learner's licence issued by licensing authority shall be valid for 6 months

How to obtain Driving License after Learner's License in Rajasthan Online Form

Once you have obtained the Learner's license and you feel that you have learned driving then you need to apply again for the Fresh License. You simply download form 4 and fill it along with documents required.

You need to submit along with the form a fee of Rs. 40.00 in case the Driving Licence is in Form 6 and Rs. 200.00 (including the cost of computerized chip) in case of Driving Licence is to be issued in Form No. 7

Also attach three copies of the your recent [passport size photograph] along with the Medical Certificate in Form 1A - Where required

Driving Test before you get the License - The applicant must go through a test and it is mandatory for the applicants to pass driving test/ physical competence test to be conducted by licensing authority on a vehicle of the type he has applied for subject to payment of Rs. 50.00 as competency fee.
