Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (PET) RPMT 2011

Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test, RPMT Entrance examination is conducted each year for admissions to different bachelor medical courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS and BHMS in the whole medical, dental, Ayurvedic/ Homoeopathic colleges and Institutes across Rajasthan.

Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test is conducted every year by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences located in Jaipur.

The entire state of Rajasthan has about 15 medical/dental colleges for which admission is done through Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test, RPMT.

In all these Medical and Dental colleges 85% seats are reserved for Rajasthan Domicile candidates and 15% seats for Outside Rajasthan candidates. Thousands of candidates from Rajasthan and other states appear for Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test, RPMT every year.

The competition in RPMT is therefore is quite tough so the students applying for Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test have to really work very hard to get admission.

Eligibility criteria for Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) 2011

1. A candidate applying for Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) 2011 should be a bonafide resident of Rajasthan and must possess Rajasthan domicile.

2. The candidates applying for Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) 2011 should have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology (atleast 50% marks), (40% for SC/BC) in all these subjects.

3. The candidate must have passed and studied English Subject as well. Students appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 are eligible to apply for Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) 2011

4. The candidates applying for Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) 2011 should have completed the age of 17 years before 31st December, 2011.

Availability of Application forms for Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) 2011

The Application forms for Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) 2011 are expected to be available by March 2011 at University Campus.

The Application form for Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) 2011 can also be obtained by post by the candidates from RajasthanUniversity of Health Sciences. The candidates need to send a Demand Draft along with the request for form.

Pattern of Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) 2011

Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) 2011 will have 2 papers for 2hrs each. Each paper will have 100 Objective questions.

The Entrance test will consist of 200 objective type questions from the following subjects

Paper I-Physics & Chemistry-100 questions
Paper II-Botany & Zoology-100 questions

For every correct answer a candidate will get 3 marks and for an incorrect answer 1 mark will be deducted.

Syllabus Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test (RPMT) 2011

The syllabus for PMET will be same as that for the Higher Secondary level in accordance with the Punjab Education Board.

The syllabus covers the subject of Physics, Biology, and Chemistry along with English.
