The Vibrant, colorful and bright event, the Camel Festival is organized and controlled by the Rajasthan Government's Department of Tourism, Art and Culture. The Camel Festival is held in Bikaner every year. This year the Camel Festival is being held from 18th – 19th January.

The Camel Festival in Bikaner every year commences with a colorful procession of decorated camels. The procession of the colorful camels walk against the red sandstone backdrop of the Junagarh Fort.

The celebration move forward to the open sand-spreads of the grounds. The festivity in Bikaner Camel Festival includes best breed competition, the tug-of-war contest of Camels, camel dance competitions, acrobatics, etc.

The display of wonderful footwork by camels fills your heart with delight. The camels mesmerize the visitors by dancing elegantly to the slightest direction of their trainers.

The evenings at the Bikaner Camel Festival close with a different mood and rhythm altogether. The evenings offer a traditional rendezvous of renowned artistes of Rajasthan and the local folk performers.
