Jodhpur

Jodhpur was founded by Rao Jodha-chief of the Rathore clan of Rajputs in the year 1459 A.D. The King, Rao Jodha claimed to be descendant of Rama.
Jodhpur the fastest growing city of Rajasthan is situated on the edge of the Thar Desert. The majestic city of Jodhpur echoes with sagas of ancient times in the barrenness of the desert. Jodhpur was once the capital of the Marwar the princely state.

On the top of the rocky hill in Jodgpur you can see the grand and impressive Mehrangarh Fort which was built in the 15th century A.D. Mehrangarh Fort is 125 Meters above the plains. The city is surrounded by a high wall which is ten kms in length and has 8 gates and countless bastions.

Reaching Jodhpur
Well connected by road rail and Air from Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur and Jodhpur. It is 6 hr drive from jaipur, 4 hr drive from Ajmer/Pushkar
