Bundi is a small town near Kota, located amidst a hilly terrain in Southern Rajasthan. The small rural town of Bundi was once the capital of one of the erstwhile princely states of Rajasthan. Bundi is famous for splendid palaces, remarkable medieval forts, baolis (step wells) and water tanks.

Bundi's rich architectural monuments and palaces reflect the majesty of the local Rajput chiefs. The Rajput Kings have used life-size frescoes on the walls of the palaces and forts at Bundi. The forts were decorated by the Kings with architecture that depicted the glory of their rulers.

Bundi is a home for many temples which have attractive stone idols along with chattris and carved pillars. The placid and picturesque lake in the heart of the city adds to its appeal.

How to Reach Bundi
Bundi is just an hour drive from Kota, 2 hrs drive from Ajmer and Udaipur. Frequent buses are available from Jaipur, Ajmer, Udaipur to Bundi.
