Indian Furniture and Accessories Show

Jodhpur is hub of all the handicraft activities in Rajasthan. The handicraft items of Jodhpur are popular in many countries of Europe and USA. To promote the handicraft industry post recession, Jodhpur Handicraft Exporters Association and Export Promotion Council along with Architecture Association of India and Interior Designer Association of India is organizing an Indian Furniture and Accessories Show in Jodhpur. The show will be held from 13th to 15th of march and the venue will be Pal bye pass near DPS school, Jodhpur.

The Indian Furniture and Accessories Show (IFAS)is a first show of its kind in India. More than 150 buyers from different countries will be visiting the fair. Their air tickets as well as accommodation has been provided free of cost. The dome structure used for the event alone costs 2.5 crore. This structure will be complete AC and shall be used in the coming commonwealth games as well.

Every attempt has been made to assure the success of the event. An organizing committee was set up under the DM of Jodhpur and the preparations were being made for past many months. The aim of the fair is to bridge the gap between the buyer and the seller. A handicraft safari will also be organized every evening to showcase the handicraft industry of Jodhpur. The fair will be inaugurated by Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot and is expected to give a huge surge to the handicraft industry.

The entries will be strictly based on the passes and general public won't be allowed in the fair.
