Location
Bharatpur is situated in eastern part of Rajasthan, it is about 176 km away from Delhi, and fifty km west to Agra city. The founder of this city is Maharaja Suraj Mal. By remembering Bharata in Ramayana the town was named Bharatpur.

Climate
The climate in Bharatpur is hot in summer and cold in winter. The temperature ranges from 38°C to 45°C, during monsoon the temperature is about 27°C. Relative Humidity range is 70-75 %.

Economy
Economy of Bharatpur mainly based on Industrial unit’s like mines/minerals, agriculture, animal Husbandry,poultry industry, mushrooms cultivation, floriculture and apiculture. The popular companies like San Miguel and Coca-Cola play vital role to enhance the economy of Bharatpur.

Tourism
Bharatpur is very famous for its world famous bird sanctuary is located five kilometers awary from Bharatpur. This is the habitat of beautiful migratory birds. The area is covered by thick trees and shrubs, with a lake called Keoladeo.Here we can see 370 different types of birds, 115 species of migrants, they are coming from Central Asia, Siberia and Western China during the winter season.

Lohagarh Fort
The fort is located at the center of the old city. It is the combination of Mughal and Rajput architecture. We can see the beautiful monuments like Kishori Mahal, Moti Mahal and Kothi Khas here.

Government Museum
It is located in the centre Lohagarh Fort, the Bharatpur Museum have vast collection of archaeological wealth from the nearby areas and also from the old Bharatpur State.
