Bharatpur is situated in eastern part of Rajasthan, it is about 176 km away from Delhi, and fifty km west to Agra city. The founder of this city is Maharaja Suraj Mal. By remembering Bharata in Ramayana the town was named Bharatpur.

The area is covered by thick trees and shrubs, with a lake called Keoladeo.Here we can see 370 different types of birds, 115 species of migrants, they are coming from Central Asia, Siberia and Western China during the winter season.
The fort is located at the center of the old city. It is the combination of Mughal and Rajput architecture. We can see the beautiful monuments like Kishori Mahal, Moti Mahal and Kothi Khas here.
It is located in the centre Lohagarh Fort, the Bharatpur Museum have vast collection of archaeological wealth from the nearby areas and also from the old Bharatpur State.
