Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore - Olympic silver medalist

Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore is a well known famous personality was born in 29th of January 1970 in Jaisalmer at Rajasthan state. Everybody knows that he is a shooter, he won individual first silver medal in the 2004 Summer Olympics for India. He won the gold medal in the year 2005 at Asian Clay Shooting Championships held in Bangkok. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore made India proud with his shooting medals.

His father name is Laxman Singh Rathore is a Col in the Indian Army, his mother, Manju Rathore, is a teacher. His parents nicknamed him as 'Chilly' at home, Right from childhood Rathore is a calm and soft-spoken and very crazy in shooting, not only in shooting he is also interested in cricket also.

He has won Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, He was honored with Arjuna award in 2003-2004 for shooting. He received Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna in 2004-2005. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore also awarded with Padma Shri.

Rathore got married in 1997 with Gayatri, an arranged marriage who is from Kumaon in Uttaranachal. Mostly he likes simple Indian non-vegetarian food and kadi-chawaal with a Rajasthani flavour his interests are listening to music and chatting with friends.
