Location
Jaipur is a place of beauty, also called pink city which is the capital of Rajasthan state. Located at the altitude of 431m above sea level. The total area is 129,060 sq. km. with a population of about 2,58,28,271.
History
The history shows that MAHARAJA SAWAI JAISINGH II was the founder of this city, his ruling period was from 1699 to 1744 with the capital of Amber, which is eleven km from Jaipur. Construction of Jaipur city was started in 1727 and completed in 1931.Type of architectural plane of this city is called Shilpa Shastra. The ancient buildings of this city were painted in pink the overall look of the city was pink in shade that is why Jaipur is also called Pink City.
Climate
Even it is in the desert area the weather of Jaipur is warm. The different seasons in Jaipur are extremely hot summer, monsoon and cool winter.
Economy
Jaipur is a business city with large, medium and small scale industries. The main industrial products of this city are acetylene gas, cable, ball bearings, bottling of LPG, ceramics, dyeing and printing etc. Agriculture is also play important role to enhance the economy of jaipur .The major agricultural crops are bajra, Jowar, Pulses, maize, ground nut, Rabi crops, wheat, barley, pulses, gram and oil seeds.

Jaipur is famous for tourism also, the famous tourist places in Jaipur are Hawa Mahal, Amber Fort, Jaigarh Fort, Birla Temple the Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Ram Niwas Garden, Crystal Palm, City Palace, Chandra Mahal, Jal Mahal, Moti Doongri Temple, Galtaji etc.
