Pittod is a famous rajasthani dish made by using baisan & curd. It is one of the most common used traditional dishes.
Ingredients:
For Pittod
- 1 bowl Baisan
- 1/2 bowl curd
- 3 spoon Soya oil
- 1/4 spoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 spoon Red chili powder
- Salt-to taste
For Gravy
- 1 bowl chopped onion
- 1 bowl chopped tomato
- 1/4 spoon jeera
- 1/4 spoon Heeng powder
- 3/4 spoon turmeric powder
- 3/4 spoon red chili powder
- Salt-to taste
- 2 Tej Patta
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Method
Take a bowl & pour the baisan in it with curd. Pour salt, turmeric powder & red chili powder according to taste. Now stir the mixture, water can be use to make the mixture smooth & soft.
Take a kadhai & pour 3-spoon oil in it. Wait till it hot. Pour the mixture in it and fry until it becomes concentrate. Now off the gas & take a bordered utensil & put some oil on it & spread it all over the dish. Take it out mixture to plate. Leave it to be cold for 15-20 minutes.
Take another kadhai, put 2-spoon oil in it. Put jeera & heeng powder. Now put chopped onion. Leave it until it became light golden brown. Put chopped tomato & turmeric powder, chili powder & salt according to taste. Leave it for 15 minutes on gas to fry.
Cut the Pittod into the square shape pieces. Put these pieces into Gravy. Off the gas & now it is ready to serve. Take it out in a bowl & garnish it with the coriander leaves.
