Rajasthan has lot of scope in producing wind energy and it is an emerging state in this regard.
It is not amongst the top states in India. The states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Maharashtra are among the lead. In year 2007 the state has produced about 7 percent of the total wind energy production of India.
Certainly there is lot of scope in Rajasthan as far as production of wind energy is concerned. The state has been comparatively slow in installation of wind mills and so lagging behind other states. But slowly Rajasthan is increasing its production. Companies like Suzlon are working steadily and so in near future we might see Rajasthan in top bracket.Prateek Dave
Thanks for your response in this forum and awaring me about the Suzlon who is working in producing wind energy in the state. And according to the natural conditions of the state, the state has lot of potential in this area.
Definitely rajasthan will be on top in generating energy by windmills not only in India but also in the world.
