Due to intense cold conditions, Rajasthan govt. has decided to close all the schools of the state for 2 days i.e. 12th of January and 13th of January. This has happened for the first time in many years that schools were closed due to extreme cold. Cold waves and rains continue to keep the tempearatures down in all the areas. The lowest tempearature was recorded in Chandhan in Jaisalmer district. The lowest temperature here yesterday was -2. Heavy rains occured in Barmer and Jaisalmer which dipped the temperature further.
