A Faculty Development Programme is going to be organosed by the AICTE sponsorship on the topic The Technological Waste:A Potential Threat to Survival at the famous Engineering College of Bikaner,Bikaner.The Programme is been sheduled on 16-28 November 2009,its a 2 weeks long programme.
What actually is the pogramme? All our vital life support systems – air, water and soil are being contaminated. The entire ecosystem on earth is under severe stress. This is being done to sustain the various developmental programmes of mankind. There is sufficient evidence to indicate that the world is going on the wrong path of development. It is leading to economic, ecological,social and political disastration all over the world.
Topics to be discussed during the Programme: Environmental Issues, Pollution and its mitigation. Natural resources and its sustainable management. Techno –economic issues of environmental sustainability. Renewable energy sources and Technologies. Technological Innovations and Sustainable Development. Agricultural Biotechnology: The Gene Revolution. Human Health and Environment. Waste Recycling Technologies
Participation Condition: Newly recruited teachers having less than /up to five years of experience in the areas of technical education in AICTE approved institution are eligible to participate. The course is limited to 20 participants only . There is no registration fee for the faculty nominated by the head of the respective institutions . However, aspirants are required to send a DD of Rs 200 (Two hundred only), which will be refunded after completion of the Programme . The participants shall be reimbursed two way AC three tier rail fare from the shortest route and shall be provided free boarding and lodging in the Institute Hostel and a kit containing programme material. After completion of the programme a certificate of participation will be given. Professionals from industry are welcome to participate with payment of Rs 7000 /- (Seven Thousand).Boarding and Lodging will have to be arranged by self.
Registration: Last date for submission of Registratio Form: 5 Nov 2009 Short List of the participants will be listed on 7 Nov 2009.
